What is wakeboarding?
Wakeboarding is one of the fastest growing extreme watersports in the world and has shaped its roots when surfers started being towed with a ski rope behind a boat. For more than 30 years wakeboarding has been constantly evolving and has become the popular little brother of waterskiing and it’s relatively easy to learn. Did you know that wakeboarding requires less boat speed than water skiing or other water sports.
For first timers is important to know the first steps of wakeboarding before going on the water; Use a shorter rope, this makes it easier to get up and out of the water. When you start place your body in a sitting position, keep the edge of the board above the water and do not pull the rope. When your completely out of the water you can stand straight. Keep leaning slightly on your back foot to keep the front of your board out of the water. You use your body weight to steer into different directions. Good luck on your first tries!
