Lisa Zimmermann

When and how did you start doing your sport?
I had been figure skating for around 8years when my brother Max took me for the first time in a Funpark. I felt in love with it quite fast, stopped figure skating and started traveling with Max to the mountains every weekend.

When did you decide to become a pro?
It have never been in my head to become a Pro, Max and me pushed each other and before I noticed that I became my job, it had already been my job.

How did you become a part of O’Neill?
I was in Bali surfing and went shopping for a wetsuit. I saw some really nice O’Neill stuff in the shops and as I was searching for a new Ski Outwear Sponsor, I came to the idea to ask O’Neill. At the same time there where coincidentally searching for a new girl in the team as well, so it all started.

What has been a highlight in your career?
My highlight was the day when I did my first ever Dub cork12. When I started with the sport, I saw some boys doing it and it was my little dream to do it as well. Two years later my best friend took my poles and said ´today is the day´. I couldn’t find an excuse as it was warm, sunny and slushy so I tried and landed straight on my feet somehow.

What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning?
I don’t really get out of the bed in the morning till I had my 9 till 10 hours sleep.

If we visited you at breakfast, what would you be eating?
Fruits and more fruits

If you weren’t skiing, what would you do?
Another sport

Any other sports you’re good at?
I love almost every sport I tried out so far but I cannot tell you if I am good or bad. In snowboarding I suck for sure tough.

What has been the scariest moment in your sport career?
The scariest moment is right probably right now, as I am injured for over a year and a couple weeks ago a new head issue came up so it will take some more months. I have no clue when I will be fit again and it already took way longer than I expected.

Describe your perfect day.
Fun, Friends, Smiles.
