Janne Korpi
Over the last few seasons, Finnish freestyle snowboarder, Janne Korpi has cemented his reputation as one of the world's top snowboarders. After sitting second on the TTR World rankings last year, and winning the O'Neill Evolution slopestyle, Janne's season was cut short when he broke his shin at the Evolution Quarterpipe. This season his first time back on a snowboard in New Zealand, Janne was back to his usual style and form - expect big thing from him this year. Armed with one of the biggest bag of tricks in the game, the 22 year-old also has his sights set on exploring the backcountry, shooting plenty of photos, and working towards the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

The first time I saw the snow was… probably the day after I was born - there’s always snow in Finland.
Snowboarding is… the best way to live your life.
If I didn’t know how to snowboard I would… probably just chill a lot with my friends.
The best place in the world I have been is… Sydney, Australia.
I loved it because… it’s Sydney! It’s got peaceful vibes and also lively city vibes.
My perfect day would go like this… I would wake up at home and someone would make me a cooked breakfast. Then I’d go snowboarding with friends at Serena before heading to the beach. To end the day, I’d have a sushi dinner in Helsinki at my friend’s restaurant.
My worst trip was… to Russia because I broke my shoulder.
What wakes me up in the morning is… my alarm clock.
I can’t stand it when people… stress too much.
When I am snowboarding I listen to… the snow.
My most embarrassing moment in my life was… something I am not going to share!
The only thing that keeps me away from snowboarding is… the summer (and sometimes not even then).
In the next year I want to… ride as much as possible in the nice parks around the world.
