Colton Ward
San Clemente's Colton Ward is up at the crack of dawn waiting to slip into the water and get his surf on every morning. He is a surf crazed grom who is progressing by leaps and bounds and is regularly making finals in the NSSA and WSA prime series and just recently put another title under his belt, by winning the 2010 NSSA Middle School State Championships. Another highlight was winning the 2009 WSA West Coast Championships held at Church's in punchy conditions. He also finished off the 2009 NSSA Open Season Boys division in 5th overall.
His usual program: surf T-street every morning then Lowers in the evening, and when the beach breaks are good he is on it. Outside of surfing he likes to ride motocross, skateboard, and play guitar.
So far he has traveled to the North shore several times, Nicaragua, Cabo, and up and down the Californian Coast. So as summer approaches and the South Swells start to hit he will be a fixture at Lowers working on being a grom and surfing as much as possible.
