Background
Jarrad Howse, from Adelaide Australia, is a journeyman surfer who has a much accomplished surf career. In 2005, against all odds he qualified for the 2006 WCT at macking Sunset Beach. Jarrad took down the likes of Andy Irons, Sunny Garcia and Pancho Sullivan in route to the semifinals of the O'Neill World Cup of Surfing. The semifinals berth solidified his spot on the WCT. In all respects, he is an accomplished Sunset surfer and that alone has him held in high regard amongst his peers. He is also quite versatile and can rip apart the Superbank with the best of them.
Jarrad started his 2008 WQS campaign looking good to qualify for the 2009 WCT, but sustained an injury mid season which sidelined him for the majority of the second half of the year. He was able to compete in the Hawaiian leg, but wasn't able to obtain his early season form. Currently, Jarrad has fully recovered and is focused on trying to re-qualify for the 2010 dream tour.
