Nils Schweizer is a nut. He travels to Mainland Mexico and posts up for a month pulling into huge barrels at Puerto. Then he heads over to the North Shore to prove even more that he is a nut. He will rush a Backdoor bomb that will make you think that he lives there. He is from Florida which might make you think otherwise, but something over there on the 'right coast' creates big wave legends back to the era of Jeff Crawford. He does his state proud with all his charging and even more so with his Quarter finals finish at the Volcom Pipeline Pro where he grabbed two of the best waves of the entire event.
The two bombs he got in the event are waves that even the Pipe locals were salivating for. Big blue barreling tepee's that wowed the crowd and put his name on the map. The best thing was when he came in from those back to back rides he didn't care that the rides were in the event. For him it was just the opportunity of getting great waves was what really made him stoked.
Atop his big wave charging appetite is that he can tear the crap out of small waves too. His small waves skills are sharp as a tack which makes him a versatile surfer that can do damage in any condition. For this surfer there are exciting days ahead.
