Noi Kaulukukui

Noi Kaulukukui

Biography:

Noi Kaulukukui is a phenomenal free surfer, and free surfing is where he shines brightest. Hailing from the NorCal town of Santa Cruz and having Hawaiian ancestry may seem like polar opposites, but it's this combination of these two elements that intersect in the water with electric results.

Noi has a certain flair that harkens back to the days of Buttons and Larry Bertleman. It's no coincidence that his hair can flair up to a seventies 'fro, but it's his loose skate inspired moves that are reminiscent of those original free surfers. Noi simply put boost serious air. He grew up learning from the best in a town that is richly steeped in progressive surfing, from Kevin Reed on down the line to friend and childhood hero Jason 'Ratboy' Collins. Noi has been a dedicated student and it shows when he hits the surf.

Noi's progressive surfing has been strongly influenced by the skateboard. With this skate background, he has been able to smoothly transition skate influenced moves to the water. He'll chuck a Roast Beef, Stale Fish, or air three-sixty that will even make Ratboy smile. Noi's got game…enough said.
