Jake was born and raised in the wild West of Australia .
Moving aroundthe state a lot as a young kid Jake still continues his nomadic ways. He spendssummer and autumn in the wave drenched south-west surfing the large variety ofreefs and beachies, then migrates to the mid and
north-west coast in winter and spring chasingoffshores and long left lines.
He loves big powerful waves and his surfingshows it. A blend of old school power and new school innovation and aerials,his surfing is full tilt.
A naturalathlete Jake excelled in many sports before his competitiveness in surfing wasawoken. Dropping all other sports to focus on his goal of being the best surferhe could, he has not looked back.
The kid treks his own path. Living in one of the mostisolated surf regions in the world has kept Jake hidden from the wider surfcommunity.
It will be interesting to see how he adapts to thecompetition surfing circuit when he decides to hit it hard.
Jake is aiming to be a major contender on the World Tour oneday, his path on reaching this goal is not the stock standard one, but nothingabout this kid is.
Those in the know say he has the goods to reach the top inmens surfing........... time will tell
but there issomething different about this kid from outback West Oz, quietly doing his thing, that makes you think..... yeah, he has the goods.

Standing on a bench looking at the waves when I gotcompletely dacked in front of a group of parents.
