John John Florence
John John Florence is the Hawaiian surfer for this generation. Simplystated he is a prodigy. His surfing is turning heads wherever he paddles outand his aura is that of the many greats that have come before him.
John John is anaccomplished surfer on many different levels. He has already won three Nationaltitles in the NSSA including Boys Open, Menehune and MiniGrom divisions held atTrestles He has also won the prestigious Rell Sun Menehune contest eight times,going back to when he was five.
He is the youngest surferever to compete in the Triple Crown of Surfing on the North Shore. He is alsothe youngest surfer ever to show up in the Transworld Exposure meter, whichtracks how much a surfer is appearing in the limelight via advertising, print,and editorial.
But the real story andwhere his surfing credentials lie is his ability to charge huge surf. He lovescharging big Pipeline, Sunset, Waimea, Mavericks, and even tows into the outerreefs of Oahu, and legitimate T'eahupoo. He is the best young big wave surferon the planet and his small waves prowess is remarkable. The progression of hissurfing career is something that will be inspiring to watch.
