Kyla Langen is girl that has plenty to go after. She's starting to find her wheels when it comes to surfing ASP events. She knows how to win heats but now she wants to win events. She has had a taste of success by making the semifinals at Trestles, quarterfinals at the US Open, and finishing runner up at the Newport Classic. She gained considerable ground this year and has bettered her seed for next year. So looking into the horizon she will be doing as many events she possibly can.
She has globe trotted the world in search of perfect surf, WQS points and with that, she has discovered that trying to qualify for the WCT is her ultimate dream. With a solid campaign this year she is now ready to be on a bigger stage. All her focus this coming year will be devoted to that end.
Kyla is a person who loves the outdoors and is attracted to adventurous people. She is from a surfing family and surfs with her brothers and Dad on a regular basis. She has a holistic approach to living life, believes in organic food, and when done with surfing she would like to help serve the community in some capacity. But for the time being she will have to put that on hold because she understands that if she wants to give professional surfing an honest go, she has to be fully committed.
