The wait is finally over! Three aspiringmodels are getting ready to pack their bags to fly to Miami for the final ofthe O'Neill Superkini Model Search – a final which will land one of them thecoveted role as an O'Neill Girl and with it a global contract with Next ModelManagement.
Over 3,000 girls around the world entered theO'Neill Superkini Model Search which ran for six weeks onFacebook.com/oneillgirls earlier this summer. But there could be only threefinalists and congratulations go to MariaMoeller, 18, from Germany and Charis Buchinhoren, 23, from the Netherlands whowere chosen by representatives from O'Neill and Next Model Management. Theywill be joined by Savannah Jerson, 19, from the USA, who received themost votes to win her place.
During the final on July 21-24, the girls will experience life as an international model – theywill stay in a real model house, meet casting agents, stylists and take part intwo photoshoots. At the end of the three days, the winning girl will be chosenbased on a combination of her natural beauty and personality; values that O'Neill Girls reflect inits campaigns, clothing and team riders.

The three finalists described the moment theygot the call telling them they had made it to the final… said Savannah; "Initially, Icried because it was so hard to believe! Once the shock wore off, I logged ontoFacebook and thanked all of my family and friends for voting and for all theeffort they put into helping me succeed - without them I may not have had thisopportunity - I don't fit the typical model type and I am hoping I can inspireothers to try modelling."
Said Charis;"After I got the call I started dancing in the living room to Surfing USA with my boyfriend! I wasdancing for half an hour with the adrenaline rushing through my body and mymind going crazy: "ME... going all the way to the USA… with O'Neill! Something Iused to dream about as a little girl! It all kept whizzing through myhead and it was just too much to take in... After a while I stoppeddancing and checked my mobile again… yes!! They really just called – I made thefinal!"
Mariawas equally happy; "Rightafter I heard I was invited to Miami I couldn't really think ... I was too busyjumping up and down the hallway, but then it sank in and I thought - wow! Ifthis works out it will be like a dream come true."
"The competition level was very high this year, which made the judging processreally interesting for us as there were so many beautiful girls to choosefrom," commented Grace Puc, from Next Models Miami, "we are thrilled thatMaria, Charis and Savannah are the final three and we can't wait to take themto Miami in July to give them a taste of what model life could be like for themif they win this amazing competition."
