June 17, 2011. Cologne, Germany – O'Neill Wake The Line, the biggest competition and spectacle of all time in the world of Wakeboard and Wakeskate, is getting ready to launch.
From 5pm tomorrow the Stadionbad in Cologne will be transformed into one of the most progressive arenas for the top Wakeboard and Wakeskate talent in the world to show their skills and battle it out for the title of World Champion and the $30,000 that comes with it.
Among those already gathered in Cologne is legendary Scott Byerly who will be on the judging panel for the Wakeskate competition.
"The set up here looks amazing," said Scott. "I think it's really going to bring out the best of all the guys who are coming to this event, so we should see an incredible show here tomorrow," he said. "For now, I just can't wait to get out there and try it all myself."
Those he will be judging include one of the top and most progressive Wake Skaters in the world right now – Nick Taylor, from Florida, USA.
Joining him in Cologne are Dylan Miller (Canada), Shawn Watson (USA), Colin Harrington (USA), Shane Bonifay (USA), Nico von Lerchenfeld (Ger), Kevin Henshaw (Canada) and Steffen Vollert – all chasing previous winner Raph Derome.
