Interview Verena Roher

When and how did you start doing your sport?
I started snowboarding at the age of 10 because my dad wanted to try it and he took me with him to snowboard lessons.

When did you decide to become a pro?
When I was 14 I decided to go to a sports school and that I want to try to become a pro.

How did you become a part of O’Neill?
I’ve always loved the style of O’Neill and when I was 14 my coach introduced me with O’Neill Switzerland. Then I got a member of the Swiss O'Neill Team.

What has been a highlight in your career?
To get Junior World Champion in Halfpipe in 2014 and to participate in the Olympics in 2014 and 2018 have been my highlights.

What are your plans for the future?
To become a better Snowboarder, to learn many new tricks and to be happy.

If we visited you at breakfast, what would you be eating?
Oat flakes with yoghurt, fruits and nuts

If you weren’t snowboarding, what would you do?
Maybe I would be a musician.

What has been the scariest moment in your sport career?
I tore my ACL and Meniscus in my right knee.

Describe your perfect day.
A bluebird day, a perfect halfpipe and just me and my friends on the mountain.
